Originally from Arizona, Portland has been home for over a decade. Over the years, life has gently nudged me in the direction of birth work through experience with wilderness medicine, as a yoga instructor, exposure to the midwifery model of care, work in the immigration legal field, experience as a community organizer, and work as a caregiver for people in various stages of life.
My practice is rooted in my belief that all people deserve the power and resources to make decisions about their own bodies, genders, sexualities, and families for themselves and for their communities. Everyone has the right to have children, not to have children, and to parent in a safe, healthy environment. Work as a doula has affirmed my desire to be part of something greater than myself and I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve in this way.
In my free time, I find joy in singing folk tunes, admiring the magic of the natural world, and adventuring with my pup and family. I live in SE Portland and work in all corners of the community. I am reliable and resourceful, empathetic and curious, with a calm presence and gentle demeanor. I received my doula training through Birthingway College of Midwifery in 2016.
